What is the student to teacher ratio at Widad?
We have a ratio of 3 students to 1 teacher. This can be adjusted dependant on the levels of ability and needs of each class. We have 2 teachers in each class.
What curriculum do you follow at Widad?
We follow the American Common Core but also take inspiration from other curriculums such as Waldorf/Steiner curriculum as well as using other appropriate educational tools.
What are the fees at Widad?
We have a multi-tier approach to support our students with learning and behavior needs. The tier is based on the intensity and duration of interventions based on individual students need. The fees start at 55,000 AED and go up accordingly.
What are the timings at Widad?
- Sunday-Wednesday 7.45-2-30pm. Thursdays we close slightly earlier at 12.30pm.
- There are options of extra-curricular activities after school.
- We follow a three-term academic year and offer an additional summer programme.
Do you have a uniform at Widad?
There is no uniform policy at Widad, but some parents choose for their child to purchase and wear a Widad T-Shirt.
Do you provide daily transportation?
We currently do not provide daily transportation for our students. However, transportation is provided for field trips.
What age range are your students?
We can enroll students from the age of 4 to 18.
What kind of life skills activities will students be targeting during the school year?
All students will have a scheduled life skills program that targets their needs and abilities. Life skills covers skills such as personal care, grocery shopping, food preparation, gardening, and computer skills.
Are there field trips, performances and school visits arranged during the year?
Yes, the centre organises multiple whole-school events and showcase performances. Every term the students will have the opportunity to participate in a cultural or sport related day trip.
