Driven by the Widad philosophy of providing a natural learning process for the whole child, Widad has partnered with schools in the surrounding area to uniquely create strong links between our communities and to provide opportunity for social responsibility.

Mainstream school students meet and engage in purposeful activities with their allocated Widad student ‘buddy’.  Each buddy will be involved in one or many of the following areas of learning: teaching appropriate play, reading, writing, arts and crafts, baking, woodwork, and conversation.

The buddy program applies empathy, understanding, self-discovery, and most importantly building friendships. The program develops skills such as social, play, collaboration, empathy, and teamwork skills.
